I sew and embroider to make people happy!

I have been sewing my entire life and sometimes, it was out of necessity. Whether I was making my own maternity clothes, or quilts and blankets for my children....or, even helping with school projects...I always had a sewing machine set up at the dining room table.
Now, my children are all grown with children of their own. I have 4 children and 9 grandchildren and we couldn't be any more blessed. And because we are now "Empty Nester's"...I have my very own craft room/office!!! My husband and I also have a lot more time to do the things we love! For me, that is sewing and embroidering....especially for kids!!!
Having grandchildren, I can't put my ideas down to paper fast enough!!! I am always sewing and embroidering and then quickly sending what I make to my grandchildren! I LOVE doing it! And they love getting packages in the mail from "Mimi". :)
My friends and family have been encouraging me, for quite some time, to take the plunge and to open my own Etsy Shop, in order to sell what I make instead of giving it away. So, I've been thinking about it and going over pro's and con's for at least the last 18 months, or so. In the end, I was too scared to do it.
When the COVID-19 pandemic started, I knew I needed to help in any way I could. I sew. I embroider. I have tons of fabric on hand. With some volunteer help and donations, I was able to make about 400 masks to give to our local hospitals and then to friends and family. I was so happy to contribute, but we began to financially suffer because of the cost of raw materials to make masks. :( And, like millions of other people, my husband is working from home (so THANKFUL for that!!), but I was laid off and have no idea when I will be able to go back to work. So, I thought, "Well, I guess now is as good a time as any to open my Etsy shop." I was scared to death!!! But, I did it. And, I'm so glad I did!!
Since opening my shop in early April 2020, The Boho Diva has had such positive love and reviews and I am so humbly grateful for all responses and questions. It is my pleasure to make you happy.
My shop is still in it's infancy stage, so please be patient with me as I develop and offer more items in the near future. If you have any questions, please message me! My first priority is that my customer's love what they purchase from me, as much as I loved making it for them!
Thank you so much!!
